Black tea has been shown to cut levels of the stress hormone cortisol in their blood. After a stressful day regular tea-drinkers are therefore hormonally more resistant to stress than non-tea-drinkers.
If that wasn’t a big enough incentive, the study also found that tea-drinkers had a lower risk of blood clotting and heart attacks!
